AM TIRED OF PRETENDING.
It’s not easy!
For a while, I have been seeing a few people show their engagement here on Medium and how they are already making a lot of money from it. Some even make $60 per day from a single story. I don't know what it takes, but then I have been monitoring a few people with high earnings; their read ratio is high and even engagement. We all can't be the same. I agree, there are people writing on Medium for fun; some write to earn from it, and some spend the whole day on writing and reading, while others do it as a side hustle. We are all writing for a reason—different reasons. Those with 100+ reads, how do you manage? Do you do it as a full-time job or it's a side hustle?
Personally, since it's my part-time job, I do it for a few hours a day, and I have never gotten to 100+ reads on a single day. Some even make it to 200+ reads a day. I don't want to pretend that I have figured out how it works; I just want to understand from each person. In addition, there are those who pay extra money to be part of the friend of medium and earn extra cash. I don't know if it's true that becoming a friend of medium earns 4 times of your earnings in the medium partner program.
